Make your CV stand out by entering a competition, award or prize

Competitions, prizes and awards are a great way for you to gain experience for your CV and often some cash or work experience. Many competitions require you to work in a team / produce innovative ideas / work to a brief / write a report, all great skills to put on your CV even if you don't win!

  • Shining a Light on Energy Efficiency Photography competition. Submit an original photo highlighting the importance of energy efficiency. The winners will be invited to present their work at the 10th International Energy Agency Annual Global Conference on Energy Efficiency in Brussels this June. Deadline: 13th April.
  • L'Oreal Brandstorm Competition Annual competition to innovate the next generation of retail.
  • Bolt Burdon Kemp LLP - Design the Change Competition design a product aimed at improving the lives of people with spinal cord injury. The winning entry receives £5,000 plus a week's placement with the runner up receiving £2,000. The competition will launch on the 14th October and close on the 14th May 2025.
