Support for Societies

Would you like The Careers Service to share career hints and tips with your society members? We can help you!

The Careers Service is able to offer tailored workshops with your society, where we will work with you to deliver engaging content to boost your society members' employability skills.

Sound good? We are taking expressions of interest for workshops on a variety of key topics, including:

  • CV hints and tips
  • Cover Letter & Applications
  • ‘What can I do with a “…” degree?’
  • Finding opportunities with a “…” degree
  • Finding experience
  • Interview skills
  • Psychometric tests and assessment centres
  • LinkedIn
  • Networking (How to build your network and how networking can help in your jobsearch)

This list is not exhaustive, and we are happy to work with you to deliver a workshop that suits your society and needs. We understand that everyone has a different experience before and during university, and we are committed to providing support that is tailored to you and your society.

If you are interested in commissioning a session for your society, or if you have any questions or further ideas about how we can help you, please email partnercareers@manchester.ac.uk and we will review your request and aim to reply within 5 working days.

Please submit your requests as early as possible, particularly if you have a specific date in mind for a session, so we can do our best to facilitate as many workshops as possible for interested societies.
